Tasks

  • Develop cases and define product features based on inputs from business owner and business representative
  • Continuously prototype features/stories with business owners based on business cases and implementation costs.
  • Understand the system implications of the new product and identify roadblocks and dependencies with other features

Product management

The position also includes the following tasks in the area of product management:
  • Understand the front to back flow of product issuance
  • Work with various risk functions to identify, assess and mitigate potential risks associated with the new product
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders (i.e. IT, accounting, operation, risk teams) to understand the system implications of the new product. Specify requirements, identify and resolve roadblocks
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to new product implementation
  • Participate in testing and quality assurance processes, create testing protocols, document testing results, and collect sign-off on test cases.
  • Ensure the new product is operational and ready for distribution (i.e., client and product suitability checks).
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the process, identifying areas for efficiency gains and implementing best practices

Regulatory responsibilities and risk management

The position also requires compliance with the following regulatory responsibilities and risk management requirements:
  • Meet all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements while implementing products
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviors (including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
