Structurer – Financial Engineer

Job description

The Structured Finance and Bespoke Solutions Desk of Global Markets is seeking an additional colleague as a Structurer – Financial Engineer.

Main tasks

• Advising on and structuring customized structured solutions across various asset classes for UHNW clients and professional clients, as well as providing specialized services and support even after a solution or product has been traded
• Active support in establishing and expanding the bank's structured finance offering
• Interaction with clients, client relationship officers, investment counselors, and colleagues from various internal departments (trading, legal, risk management, compliance, finance, tax, operations, credit, IT, etc.) and building long-term relationships with all parties involved
• Promoting the range of structured finance and bespoke solutions within the bank and to clients
• Support in preparing client marketing materials, regular follow-ups and evaluations, legal documents, and preparing Excel models for structuring, backtesting, and stress testing

Requirements

• Master's degree in finance, business administration, or financial engineering
• CFA, CAIA, FRM, PhD, or other training is an advantage
• Professional with 4-5 years of experience in a similar position and very good knowledge of derivatives and structured products, as well as familiarity with traditional and alternative asset classes and the wealth management world.
• Flexible, able to work independently, able to perform well under pressure, willing to go the extra mile, and a good team player
• Strong communication skills, lateral thinking, and interaction with counterparties from different backgrounds and with varying levels of technical knowledge
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland and potentially abroad
• Good knowledge of Excel (including VBA), Python is an advantage
• Fluent in English, Italian, French, and German is a plus
