Supplier Risk Specialist (Third-Party Risk Management)
The Supplier Risk Specialist is responsible for conducting supplier due diligence reviews and analyzing and documenting risks. The position is advertised as a part-time role (60–80%) at Julius Baer in Zurich, with a contract through December 18, 2026, and the possibility of extension.
Tasks
- Documentation and maintenance of standard and risk-specific procurement pre-screening templates and playbooks in relevant databases
- Manage the distribution, completion, and analysis of supplier questionnaires regarding financial viability, cybersecurity, ESG compliance, and other risk areas to ensure high response rates and data completeness
- Assistance in identifying sub-tier risks, such as the concentration of sub-processors in high-risk regions, using automated tools or structured surveys
- Reviewing existing contracts and suppliers to assess procurement-related risks and compliance gaps
- Providing regular procurement and supplier risk reports and dashboards to internal stakeholders and senior management
- Collaborate with Global Category Management and business stakeholders to support the integration of risk management into the procurement strategy and operational supplier management
- Act as the primary point of contact between Global Procurement and internal risk functions (e.g., TPRM, Legal, Compliance, Cyber) to ensure that suppliers meet the bank’s risk standards
Requirements
- A degree in business administration or a degree in (technical) business administration
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, vendor risk management, operational risk, or a related governance, risk, and compliance role
- Strong understanding of third-party risk areas: financial, operational, regulatory, and reputational risks
- Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
