Sustainability Business Analyst
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Sustainability Business Analyst who can transform complex data into clear insights for strategic decision-making and analyze sustainability data to provide decision-making materials to senior executives. The ideal candidate has strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as experience in sustainability reporting or environmental assessment.
Tasks
- Create precise, decision-oriented materials for senior management, including the Sustainability Committee, the Executive Board, and the Board of Directors
- Develop and maintain sustainability dashboards and management scorecards to provide data-driven insights to senior management and enable effective tracking of progress toward sustainability-related strategic priorities
- Help improve sustainability reporting frameworks and processes, and conduct sustainability assessments—including greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting—to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and industry-specific requirements
- Support environmental and climate risk assessments, including the identification and assessment of sustainability-related impacts, risks, and opportunities
- Support the bank’s preparation of non-financial disclosures by managing data collection, validation, and consolidation to ensure data quality, audit readiness, and compliance with relevant reporting standards (e.g., CSRD, TCFD)
- Coordinate and complete annual questionnaires and disclosures for key industry standards and ratings (e.g., UN PRI, MSCI)
Requirements
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to transform complex data into actionable business insights
- Ability to translate complex analyses into precise, effective presentations for senior management
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience and a university degree (Master’s degree preferred) in finance, economics, data analysis, environmental science, or a related field
- Experience or academic training in sustainability reporting, GHG accounting, ESG analysis, or environmental assessments is a plus
- A strong interest in financial markets, investment trends, and the banking industry, ideally in wealth management
- A strong attention to detail combined with a structured, reliable, and quality-oriented approach to work
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Python), familiarity with AI-powered analysis, and sustainability data platforms are a plus
- A proactive and collaborative team player with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
