System Architect for GPS ART (f/m/d) 100%
The Julius Baer Group is seeking an experienced System Architect for the Global Products and Solutions department to help shape the company’s technology strategy and architecture and serve as the technology architect for the GPS-ART department. The successful candidate should have experience in the financial industry and expertise in areas such as cloud computing, data analysis, and software development.
Tasks
- Collaborate with GPS leadership and key stakeholders to define target and transition architectures, ensuring alignment with the enterprise architecture vision and goals
- Developing and defining the GPS technology strategy based on the corporate strategy, evaluating new technologies, chairing the Technology Architecture Advisory Board, and defining technology migration roadmaps
- Conducting technical assessments, executing proof-of-concept projects, and coaching agile teams during migration
- Responsibility for solution blueprints and definition of transition roadmaps with concrete inputs for GPS ART to achieve the target application landscape
- Supporting teams in adhering to enterprise architecture governance to ensure compliance with architecture standards, policies, and guidelines
- Stay up to date with trends and drivers in the financial industry, markets, and technology in order to propose innovative and sound solutions for business partners and support them in architecture-related issues.
- Facilitating digital transformation and the rollout of global solutions to strike a balance between scalability, operational readiness, flexibility, and geographic deployment
Requirements
- A passion for technology, combined with a "can-do" attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit, to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
- Proven multi-year experience as a systems or software architect in the financial industry or as a consultant specializing in banking
- Proven track record in delivering technology projects, including methodological assessments, strategy development, and roadmap creation
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in at least two functional areas: market data distribution, real-time data analytics, or the migration/rearchitecture of software from desktop-based to web-based cloud-native systems
- Several years of experience as a web software developer (Java or .NET)
- Business fluency in written and spoken English; spoken German is an advantage
