System Architect

Job description

The primary objective of the System Architect is to work with the IT Asia Architecture team to provide architecture, design, and technical guidelines to enable the bank's digital transformation. Candidates must have a good understanding of private banking/wealth management processes, particularly in the areas of finance and credit.

Tasks

• Supporting architecture governance to manage architecture commitments, architecture standards, and guidelines
• Managing and executing proof-of-concepts for new technologies and tools that may be required to support business initiatives
• Participation and contribution to the bank's IT architecture strategy through collaboration within the Architecture COE
• Providing technical leadership for project teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle

Requirements

• Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards such as honesty and integrity, diligence and conscientiousness, fair treatment (fair treatment of customers), conflict management, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Passionate and efficient self-learner, adopting new technologies and methods to create business value
• Academic degree (bachelor's/master's) in engineering or computer science
• 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise systems in the banking sector, preferably private banking/wealth management
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman
• Strong collaboration skills across hierarchical levels and organizational boundaries
• Very good knowledge and experience in modern web technologies
• Proficiency in enterprise technologies such as Java EE, Spring Boot, databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, integration technologies such as IBM MQ, IBM Integration Bus, event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka
• Experience in implementing cloud-native applications
• Experience in implementing DevOps principles within the organization
• Experience in the implementation of machine learning-based solutions is an advantage
