System Architect
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a System Architect to support the company's digital transformation and provide architecture, design, and technical guidelines for the IT department in Asia. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise systems in the banking sector, particularly in private banking and wealth management.
Tasks
The primary objective of the System Architect is to collaborate with the IT Asia Architecture Team to provide architecture, design, and technical guidelines to enable the bank’s digital transformation. Candidates must have a solid understanding of private banking/wealth management processes, particularly in the areas of finance and credit. * Support architecture governance to manage architectural commitments, standards, and guidelines * Manage and execute proof-of-concepts for new technologies and tools that may be required to support business initiativesRegulatory responsibilities and risk management
* Participate in and contribute to the bank’s IT architecture strategy by collaborating within the Architecture CoE * Providing technical leadership to project teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle * Demonstrating appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and prudence, fair treatment (fair treatment of customers), conflict management, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulationsYour profile

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or computer science * 10+ years of experience in the design and implementation of enterprise systems in the banking sector, preferably in private banking/wealth management * Knowledge of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachmann * Strong collaboration skills across hierarchical levels and organizational boundaries * Excellent knowledge and experience with modern web technologies * Proficiency in enterprise technologies such as Java EE, Spring Boot, databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, integration technologies such as IBM MQ and IBM Integration Bus, and event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka * Experience in implementing cloud-native applications * Experience in implementing DevOps principles within an organization * Experience in implementing machine learning-based solutions is a plusWe offer
