Systems Engineer - Application Operations (Full-Time) (f/m/d)

Job description

The position of System Engineer - Application Operations involves the following responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth operation of core banking applications, with a focus on application management
• Assumption of periodic on-call duties (weekly 24/7 rotation)
• Managing change requests and ensuring the proper execution of application-related processes
• Participation in periodic release activities, including weekend deployments
• Collaboration on projects related to the operational aspects of existing or newly integrated applications
• Performing routine data cleansing and system maintenance
• Optimization of processes and automation of recurring tasks, including handover to L1 (Control Center)
• Maintenance and updating of application operating documentation and the knowledge base
• Providing support for batch job scheduling and monitoring (e.g., Automic AWA, Control-M, or similar tools)

Your qualifications

The following requirements apply to this position:

• Completed IT education (degree in computer science or equivalent IT-related certification)
• At least 2 years of professional experience in application support
• Strong knowledge of Linux (shell scripting is an advantage)
• Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems at the server level
• Familiarity with Java application servers, databases, and workload automation tools (AWA experience is a plus)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Good written and spoken English skills
