System Engineer

Man Group is seeking an experienced System Engineer to manage the infrastructure for end-user platforms and who has experience with modern technologies such as AI development tools and automation tools. The System Engineer will be part of the End User Engineering team and will work on the development and maintenance of Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, configuration management, and monitoring systems.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our End User Engineering team. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our end-user platforms. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies at scale and to support our end-user platforms.

Main tasks

As a Systems Engineer, you will: - Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, configuration management, and monitoring systems - Support business operations - Collaborate with the broader engineering team and other systems teams to drive automation initiatives that help us deliver platforms that accelerate our delivery - Participate in the on-call rotation

Requirements

Required:
  • Experience supporting end-user platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Skype
  • Knowledge of identity management and related technologies (Active Directory, Entra ID)
  • Experience supporting end-user devices such as Windows, macOS, and mobile devices
  • Knowledge of automation tools and scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, PowerShell)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed systems, with the ability to diagnose complex production problems under pressure
  • Knowledge of security best practices and infrastructure architecture platforms
  • Experience and solid engineering expertise to effectively use AI-powered development tools in daily workflows

Additional benefits

  • Experience with device management, including Intune and 2nd/3rd
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ServiceNow, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source code workflows (Git, Jenkins, TeamCity)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker or similar)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to set priorities and effectively manage time across multiple projects and priorities
