System Engineer
The Swiss National Bank is looking for a System Engineer (80%-100%) for the Big Data team in Zurich, who will be responsible for the planning, implementation and operation of Big Data platforms. The position offers a challenging job in a collegial environment with modern working conditions.
Job description
System Engineer (80% -100%)Your contribution
- Planning, evaluation, procurement, conception and implementation of Big Data platforms in the role of System Engineer (SE)/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE);
- Operation of the SNB's on-premises Big Data environment consisting of the Log Management Stack, the Event Streaming and the Cloudera Data Platforms;
- Providing on-call service at 2nd level.
Your knowledge and experience
- Degree in computer science, engineering or a similar field (FH/Uni/ETH);
- Specialized knowledge: Red Hat Linux, OpenShift, Big Data Tools (Kafka, OpenSearch, ElasticSearch, Vector, Flink);
- Programming experience: Bash, Python, DevOps and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Git);
- Negotiation language in German or French as well as in English.
