Talent Acquisition Associate - 6-month fixed-term contract
The Talent Acquisition Associate supports the team in recruiting employees and gains experience in recruitment. This position is a 6-month fixed-term contract that allows the candidate to acquire skills and knowledge in talent acquisition and develop into an experienced professional.
Purpose of the role
As a Talent Acquisition Associate, you will begin your career in talent acquisition, supporting the team in delivering high-quality hiring processes and ensuring the smooth execution of the process. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience and development opportunities to gradually take on more responsibility and grow into a well-rounded talent acquisition expert.Tasks
- Partner with senior talent acquisition team members to understand hiring needs and recruitment strategies - Shadow team members to learn how to effectively find, evaluate, and engage candidates - Assist in creating and posting job descriptions under supervision to ensure they are inclusive and appealing - Initiate initial contact with candidates via platforms such as LinkedIn or job boards to represent the organization professionallyCandidate pipeline support
- Begin building a candidate pipeline for junior roles by learning sourcing techniques and tools - Conduct basic CV assessments and flag potential matches for open roles for senior team members - Support candidate communication by scheduling interviews, sending confirmations, and providing status updatesstakeholder collaboration
- Work closely with hiring managers under the guidance of senior team members to understand role requirements and expectations - Participate in intake meetings with managers to observe and learn how to effectively define hiring needsTechnology-supported practices
- Learn how to use applicant tracking systems (ATS), such as Greenhouse, to track candidates, update data, and manage workflows - Support reporting needs by maintaining accurate data in the ATS and learning how to create basic reports for the teamDiversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Learning and adopting best practices for embedding D&I principles in sourcing and candidate assessment - Support in sourcing diverse talent under the guidance of senior team membersCost-effective practices
- Focus on direct sourcing and internal talent pools to minimize reliance on external recruitment agencies - Support in monitoring agency usage and costs to align with the team's cost efficiency goalsRequirements
- 0-2 years of experience in talent acquisition; with strong sourcing skills - Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn applicant tracking systems and sourcing platforms - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under guidance - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor - Commitment to accuracy in candidate data entry, scheduling, and communication - A self-starter with a curious and growth-oriented mindset, willing to take initiative and learnWe offer
