The Tax Manager Client Tax Governance supports the Chief Tax Office (CTO) Tax Governance team in managing tax risks and processes. The employee advises on tax matters, develops and implements processes and procedures and maintains relationships with other departments and management.

Tax Manager Client Tax Governance, GPB EMEA
Tasks
- The tax function has direct responsibility to support the Chief Tax Office (CTO) tax governance teams.
- Ensuring that tax risks are well managed and that the Group's tax risks are identified and mitigated or reported.
- Understanding and application of all technical tools used within the role.
- Develop and maintain technical / manual / systems and ensure controls are in place and operating effectively.
- Advising on the interpretation of processes and procedures to ensure the soundness of advice within rules / regulations and / or operational requirements under regulation and international tax regimes.
Your tasks in detail
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of tax department processes.
- Advice on tax issues and ensuring that tax regulations are applied.
- Build and maintain relationships with other departments and leadership to communicate processes and proposals.
- Technical advice, internal review and support for regulatory and tax groups.
- Creation and maintenance of procedures related to tax and finance. Design, development and maintenance of records.
- Prepare and / or review annual CLO tax cycle management team responsibilities. Ensure policies are applied and implemented by providing training sessions as GS / DAs / SM's.
- Monitoring developments in local laws and assessing their impact.
Requirements
- CBE / CPA / CIMA or equivalent professional school qualification; law degree.
- Experience working with SO, DAC6, CbCR, BEPS, tax blending within a financial institution and knowledge of general tax and non-US tax principles preferred.
- Good understanding of the financial planning industry and types of clients such as wealth and assets.
- Highly respected and experienced consultant in the implementation and monitoring of administrative processes.
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- PC system knowledge, including Word, Excel and the use of internet search engines.
- Fluent in English; French and German are an advantage.
- Good understanding of systems and processes; ability to apply technical analysis from non-EU sources or non-EU clients and develop business related to these activities.
