Overview

• Job title: Tax Specialist 100% (m/f/d)
• Location: Zurich
• Working hours: Full-time

Tasks

• Tax support for key stakeholders, including Private Banking, Global Products & Solutions (GPS) on product offerings and client solutions
• Maintain and update the tax policy engine to reflect the latest legislative changes, tax rulings and internal policy decisions to ensure fiscally appropriate product offerings and client solutions
• Independent monitoring and control activities as part of the second line of defense, validating the correct implementation of tax policies, systems and processes and escalation of identified gaps or risks
• Sharing product steering expertise through special training sessions and improving internal training materials on product steering topics
• Monitoring developments in product taxation, international and national legislative changes and assessing their impact on current practices and systems

Requirements

• University degree in law, business administration, finance or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will be considered
• Ideal: At least 2 years of post-academic experience in a financial institution, law firm, accounting firm or corporate tax environment
• Experience in private banking, asset management or capital markets is strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of Swiss and/or international tax principles affecting investment products
• Familiarity with Swiss tax law and selected foreign tax laws relevant to Julius Baer's client base
• Knowledge of financial products (shares, bonds, funds, structured products) and trading environments
• Language skills in English/German are a strong advantage; additional languages are an advantage
