Team Business Manager

The Team Business Manager at Julius Baer in Singapore is responsible for the day-to-day operational, sales, and administrative management of the team and assists the Group Head with various tasks. Job description

The Team Business Manager (Team BM) is responsible for managing day-to-day operational, sales, and administrative matters in close collaboration with the Group Head (GH). This role involves assisting the GH with daily inquiries, overseeing and/or supporting commercial and risk approvals, and supervising team tasks delegated by the GH in accordance with internal policies.

Tasks

  • Coordinates and/or supports the bank's strategic initiatives and projects by working closely with the Market Business Management team and within the respective team
  • Supports the CEO in fulfilling his supervisory responsibilities by monitoring daily risks through regular risk briefings with the CEO and by reviewing risk and control reports/dashboards, as well as by performing approval and control tasks delegated by the CEO in accordance with internal policies
  • Conducts and/or coordinates quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform team and individual RM account planning, performance reviews, scorecard processes, and ad hoc requests
  • Gathers team input and provides ideas to improve efficiency in the bank's processes and systems
  • Communicates relevant information from the bank/region/market level and derives measures for the respective team, including monitoring and tracking agreed measures.
  • Organizes and conducts team meetings and communication in close cooperation with the GH
  • Manages systematic sales processes with support from Regional Business Development and the Group Head, and coordinates and implements the use of sales tools within the respective team
  • Performs budget planning and effective cost control for the respective team (if applicable)
