Team Head IT Core Banking Delivery Luxembourg

The Team Leader IT Core Banking Delivery in Luxembourg is responsible for the overall responsibility of the core banking system (T24 Temenos) and supports the Global Head of IT in the implementation of strategic goals. The candidate should have 18-20 years of experience in the IT and banking industry and have strong leadership skills.

Job description

Tasks

  • Responsible for the entire delivery process of the core banking system (T24 Temenos)
  • Supporting the global head of IT in the fulfillment of mandates and strategic goals
  • Setting clear goals and priorities for the team and team members
  • Be a role model for the Bank's culture and values
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and computer science skills
  • Work closely with all IT teams to improve quality for the bank's clients
  • Help with the creation of service level agreements and operational level agreements
  • Monitor, control and support service delivery, ensuring systems and procedures are in place and followed
  • Leading the service delivery teams, conflict management and ensuring that the team's processes and tasks are carried out efficiently
  • Managing finances and budgets according to the team's objectives
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising customer satisfaction or the quality of services
  • Assessing and using feedback to establish, improve and refine services
  • Direction and management of operational activities
  • Ensuring the third level of support

Management tasks

  • Contribute to the strategy of the IT department in all its building blocks and ensure alignment with the strategic direction of the bank and the department
  • Ensuring a timely and appropriate flow of information to all relevant stakeholders
  • Recruitment and/or approval of key employees and senior specialists in the T24 team
  • Ensure sound people management, including employee motivation and support, performance management, compensation management and employee development
  • Acting with integrity and protecting the bank's reputation
  • Actively promote the Bank's core values and purpose to ensure appropriate, ethical and compliant behavior
  • Constructive collaboration with colleagues across the organization
  • Ensuring solid workforce and succession planning for key positions

Requirements

  • At least 18 to 20 years of experience in the IT and banking industry
  • Proven ability to lead managers in the IT sector
  • Visionary mindset to design and implement strategic initiatives aligned with the goals of the organization
  • Skills for the development and promotion of managers
  • Strongly decision-oriented and results-oriented
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (fluent business English required)
  • Effective and efficient operation even under high pressure
  • Ability to work in an agile manner and adapt to new situations
  • Great team player, with the ability to motivate others and work across teams and cultures
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in management positions and market recognition
  • Higher education with relevant degree (university or equivalent)
  • Executive certifications or training in leadership, IT governance and strategic management
