Team Head IT Core Banking Delivery Luxembourg

The Team Leader IT Core Banking Delivery (Luxembourg) is responsible for leading a team delivering IT services to the bank's core business and ensuring the quality and improvement of these services. The candidate should have at least 18-20 years of experience in the IT and banking industry and be a leader with strategic thinking and strong communication skills.

Job description

Tasks

  • Driving IT delivery forward
  • Drive quality and improvement of IT services related to the KPIs defined in the SLAs and ensure that products and services are delivered seamlessly
  • Work closely with all IT teams to improve the quality offered to bank clients
  • Support in the creation of service level agreements and operational level agreements
  • Monitor, control and support service delivery; ensure systems and procedures are in place and followed
  • Lead service delivery teams, manage conflicts and ensure that the team's processes and tasks are carried out efficiently
  • Manage finances and budgets according to team goals
  • Develop methods to reduce costs without compromising customer satisfaction or quality of service to ensure a high quality service
  • Evaluate and use feedback to establish, improve and refine services
  • Setting direction and managing operational activities
  • Ensure third level of support

Management tasks

  • Contribute to the strategy of the IT division in all its building blocks and ensure that it is aligned with the strategic direction of the bank and the division
  • Ensure timely and appropriate communication of information to all relevant stakeholders, both from the bottom up and from the top down within management and with other functions in the organization
  • Hire and/or approve personnel for key leadership positions and senior specialists in the T4 team
  • Ensure appropriate people management, including motivation and support of staff; performance management, compensation management (where possible) and staff development in line with the Bank's processes and standards and the needs of the team
  • Act with integrity and protect the bank's reputation
  • Actively promote the core values and purpose of Julius Baer Bank to ensure appropriate, ethical and compliant behavior
  • Working constructively with colleagues throughout the company
  • Ensure sound workforce and succession planning for key positions. Recruit (approve) staff for key management positions and senior specialists

Requirements

Experience/knowledge/skills

  • At least 18 to 20 years of experience in the IT and banking industry
  • Proven ability to lead managers in the IT sector
  • A visionary mindset to design and implement strategic initiatives that align with the organization's goals
  • Ability to develop and promote leadership talent
  • Strong decision-maker and results-oriented
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (fluent English is required), fostering collaboration across teams and departments
  • Effective and efficient operation even under high pressure
  • Ability to work in an agile manner and adapt to new situations
  • Great team player, with the ability to motivate others and work across teams and cultures
  • Several years of relevant professional experience and management tasks as well as market recognition
  • Higher education with a relevant degree (university or equivalent)
  • Executive certifications or training in leadership, IT governance and strategic management
