Team Lead, Legal Entities / Client Data Management Office

J. Safra Sarasin is seeking an experienced CDB expert in Basel to serve as Team Leader for Legal Entities, responsible for overseeing the onboarding and data management of institutional clients. The position involves leading a team, ensuring compliance, and optimizing processes as part of the digital transformation.

Your Role

  • The Client Data Management Office is seeking an experienced CDB expert to lead its Legal Entities team, which is responsible for reviewing and processing client documentation and client data, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the data throughout the clients’ lifecycle at the Bank.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of Client Data Officers responsible for legal entities
  • Reviewing and processing all new account openings to ensure smooth operations for the Legal Entities Officer
  • Serve as the point of contact for our Relationship Managers and provide guidance on account opening standards and missing documentation, enabling them to further grow their business
  • Serve as the link between the Bank's various stakeholders, including Front Office, Legal, Compliance, and IT, to ensure that their interests are aligned
  • Leading projects to improve the Bank's processes and tools, as well as standardizing documentation requirements in accordance with CDB regulations and Bank directives
  • Support the bank in its ongoing transition from manual, paper-based client files to digital onboarding
  • Managing physical and electronic static data throughout a client's life cycle
  • Ensure excellent client relations and satisfaction, and handle escalated issues promptly and effectively
  • Developing a deep understanding of the Bank's processes, products, and services

Your Profile

  • Banking apprenticeship or relevant degree
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in private banking, preferably as an onboarding specialist or compliance officer
  • CDB Expert, specifically in the area of legal entities, with a solid understanding of AML, FATCA/QI, and CRS regulations
  • Strong prioritization, organizational, and analytical skills are essential
  • Creating a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a hands-on approach
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership, perform under pressure, and set priorities
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Affinity; experience working with Avaloq is a plus
