Team Lead (m/f/d) Client Static / Master Data in Operations

The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Team Head (m/f/d) for the Client Static / Master Data division within Operations, who will be responsible for the quality and integrity of client relationships and will lead a team in a goal-oriented and motivating manner. The ideal candidate will have several years of professional experience in a leadership role within the banking industry and possess solid knowledge of business transaction and documentation requirements.

Team Lead (m/f/d) Client Static / Master Data in Operations

Tasks

  • The proper collection, verification, and maintenance of customer data in connection with account opening and client management.
  • Solution-oriented consulting and support for internal partners, including relationship managers and AML/compliance staff—always with a focus on service quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, in particular Section 24c of the German Banking Act (KWG), the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG), and the Principles on Appropriate Business Organization (MaRisk).
  • The preparation of reporting and management information, including for internal controls (ICS) and compliance reports.

Requirements

  • Completed business training, ideally with a focus on banking or finance.
  • Several years of professional experience in a bank, including at least three years in a management role, preferably in retail banking, customer service, or operational back-office functions.
  • Solid knowledge of transaction and documentation requirements under the German Banking Act (KWG), the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG), and the German Banking Supervision Guidelines (MaRisk).
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills—for communicating with internal stakeholders and for documentation purposes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
  • A structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented approach—with an eye for both details and the bigger picture.
  • A strong focus on customers and service, including in indirect customer interactions.
  • A high degree of initiative, resilience, and the ability to lead your team in a goal-oriented and motivating manner.
