Team Head & Senior Project Manager - Compliance Analytics & Transformation 100% (f/m/d)

The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Team Head & Senior Project Manager for the Compliance Analytics & Transformation team to lead a high-performing team and manage strategic projects in the area of compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in project management and leadership experience in a global financial services company.

Tasks

  • Lead and develop a high-performing transformation team
  • Monitoring the end-to-end delivery of strategic, global projects and large-scale change initiatives within the compliance function
  • Govern and manage the compliance transformation portfolio, including prioritizing efforts based on strategic impact, regulatory demand, and resource availability
  • Ensuring close alignment between project activities and the comprehensive bank-wide transformation program
  • Promoting innovation and operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and improved data utilization in compliance operations
  • Lead strategic initiatives within the global compliance function, focusing on technology enablement, process optimization, data analytics, and business intelligence to improve control effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Initiate and define new projects in response to business requirements, regulatory requirements, or directives from senior management.
  • Managing the entire project lifecycle, including planning, defining business requirements, solution testing, implementation, and measuring success
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal IT teams and external suppliers to conduct in-depth analysis and identify best solutions
  • Overseeing project governance frameworks, including conducting project steering committee meetings, regular progress reports, risk escalation, and alignment with senior management and key stakeholders
  • Effective work in an agile project environment, using iterative methods for incremental delivery of value
  • Performing ad hoc business analyses and reports, as well as providing cross-functional support to other projects and team members within Compliance Analytics & Transformation

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in economics, business administration, finance, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in program and project management within a global financial services company, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership position with personnel responsibility
  • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to problem solving in ambiguous environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and management
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of concurrent initiatives, including prioritization, resource planning, etc.
