Team Lead Java - Trading & Lending

Tasks

• Lead and empower two development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and resilient systems
• Partner with a dedicated staff engineer to guide architectural decisions and maintain a strong technical foundation
• Steering the technical roadmap by aligning business priorities, effective planning and estimation, and ensuring teams are equipped with clarity and focus
• Promoting a culture of technical excellence by establishing and maintaining best practices for CI/CD, observability, performance, maintainability, testing, and security
• Ensuring the reliable operation of critical trading systems, responding to production incidents, and coordinating an effective solution across teams
• Collaborate with product, design, back-end, DevOps, and business partners to ensure smooth delivery and integration of new trading systems.
• Mentoring and growth of a development team through coaching, feedback, and career development
• Steering hiring and performance evaluation to build a high-performing, world-class development team

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in software development, with the last 3 years in Java and experience in directly managing and scaling electronic trading systems or similar
• Experience in building and scaling electronic trading systems or risk systems
• Understanding of core trading systems, such as order lifecycle management and handling critical event streams
• Design and operation of systems with stringent requirements for latency, throughput, reliability, and deterministic behavior
• Creation of scalable backend services with Java, ideally with Quarkus and Micronaut or similar reactive frameworks
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitLab CICD
