Team Leader in Pre-Litigation Debt Collection

UBS is seeking a Team Leader for Pre-Legal Debt Collection to lead the Pre-Legal Debt Collection Team and ensure the reliable and technically sound handling of delinquent consumer loan receivables. The ideal candidate has a basic business education, leadership experience, and relevant practical experience in the credit sector.

The role

As a team leader in pre-legal debt collection, help us achieve our ambitious goals. In this diverse and exciting role, you will lead the Pre-Legal Debt Collection Team and be responsible for ensuring that delinquent consumer loan receivables are handled reliably and with professional expertise.

Tasks

These are your main responsibilities:
  • You and your team ensure that credit accounts are processed in a timely, process-oriented, and effective manner as part of the pre-litigation collection process
  • In accordance with regulatory and legal requirements, you will be responsible for providing customers with impeccable service in pre-legal debt collection.
  • You will serve as the service owner for digital receivables management and be responsible for its further development
  • You optimize the organization and processes within your area of responsibility to improve efficiency; you challenge the status quo and actively contribute to further development
  • You will work closely with your peers and maintain regular, professional communication with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., debt counseling agencies, government offices, etc.)

Requirements

  • Basic business training with management experience (at least 3 years)
  • Several years of relevant practical experience in the banking sector
  • Knowledge of the Swiss Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act (SchKG) and the Swiss Debt Collection Act (KKG), as well as experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in managing small teams
