Tech Lead, DevEx Platform (80-100%)
As Tech Lead for the DevEx platform, you will be responsible for the technical leadership and empowerment of a small team of SRE and backend engineers to make the platform faster, more secure and user-friendly. You will lead the team and develop internal platforms, CI/CD pipelines and developer tools to improve the developer experience and operational stability.

About the role
As a Tech Lead on our Platform team, you will combine technical leadership with employee empowerment to make technology faster, safer and more enjoyable. You will lead a small team of SRE and backend engineers and treat the platform as a product - balancing roadmap execution, developer experience and operational resilience.
Tasks
With the technical cap:
- Own internal platform roadmap and backlog - priorities aligned with strategic goals, developer feedback and long-term sustainability
- Drive the design and delivery of internal platforms, CI/CD pipelines and developer tools
- Building and maintaining common libraries and frameworks that standardize development and deployment
- Integration of safe, observable and compliant practices into platform design
- Leveraging AI and automation to reduce cognitive load, improve quality and scale developer productivity
- Clear communication of changes via changelogs, documentation and internal demos
- Function as technical decision-maker for platform architecture, tool standards and life cycle guidelines
With the guide cap:
- Lead and grow a small team of SRE and backend engineers - conduct 1:1 meetings, assist with onboarding, goal setting and performance feedback
- Drive platform adoption across engineering teams through training, documentation and developer engagement
- Leading the backend guild and promoting consistent standards across teams
- Partner with tech leads, engineering managers and architects to align platform direction with organizational needs
- Champion a culture of ownership, psychological safety and continuous improvement
- Tracking and reporting on platform impact metrics such as adoption rates, developer satisfaction (NPS) and operational stability
Requirements
- Experience in leading platform or development productivity initiatives across teams
- Strong background in Java (Quarkus) or Node.js (Nest.js), with Kubernetes, Terraform and GitLab CI/CD
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS), microservices and developer tools
- Experience in the implementation of life cycle strategies (versioning, migration, deprecation)
- Proven ability to document, communicate and promote platform tools and standards
