About the role

Sygnum is looking for a visionary Tech Lead to drive the next evolution of our proprietary tokenization platform - as part of our mission to unlock the future of finance through blockchain technology. As a Tech Lead, you will play a key role in integrating advanced smart contract capabilities and leading-edge solutions to shape a platform at the forefront of digital asset tokenization.

Tasks

Technical tasks

• Lead a team of software engineers to develop and own state-of-the-art solutions.
• Continuously improve the quality and security of applications by actively managing the quality of systems.
• Actively participate in the development of new features and enhancements by writing and reviewing high quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines and optimize release processes, leverage AI and automation to reduce cognitive load, improve quality and scale developer productivity.
• Collaborate with SRE engineers and solution architects to perfect application availability, resilience and observability.

Managerial tasks

• Support and guide software engineers through coaching and mentoring.
• Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team by driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with product managers and stakeholders to plan new features and improvements.
• Conduct blameless retrospectives and post-mortems to promote a culture of learning from mistakes.
• Create a psychologically safe environment where every team member feels empowered to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the company.

Requirements

• You like to build scalable backend services based on our tech stack: Java/Quarkus and/or Node.js on AWS.
• You are experienced in Kubernetes, Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
• You understand microservices, event-driven architecture and can implement functions with a focus on performance, fault tolerance and security.
• Experience with RDBMS (ideally PostgreSQL).
• Previous experience with cryptocurrencies is preferred but not required.
• You are comfortable taking on the entire development lifecycle, from solution conception to operation in production.
• You enjoy both technical and personnel management tasks.
• You have a collaborative and growth-oriented attitude.
• Previous experience in dealing with various stakeholders (business users, IT architecture, product managers, business analysts).
• You are enthusiastic about both greenfield and established (brownfield) projects.
