Tech Lead Java - Trading

Tasks

• Lead the technical vision and architecture of our trading platform, driving innovation and scalability.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap, planning, and estimation of new features.
• Promote engineering excellence through robust CI/CD, automation, and monitoring practices.
• Respond to production incidents promptly and efficiently, working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and restore service continuously.
• Define and follow best practices for performance, maintainability, testing, and security.
• Collaborate with teams and disciplines (design, product, backend, DevOps) to ensure smooth development, integration, and delivery of your product.
• Mentor and develop an engineering team through coaching, feedback, and career development.
• Drive recruitment and performance evaluation to build a world-class engineering team.
• Promote a psychologically safe and inclusive team culture where everyone thrives.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in software development, including the last 3 years in management positions with direct line management.
• Experience with scaling critical systems in production.
• Previous experience with trading and order management systems.
• Creation of scalable backend services based on our tech stack: Java/Quarkus and Mutfli.
• Professional knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Deep understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures and implementation of features with a focus on performance, fault tolerance, and security.
• Experience with KDBMS (ideally PostgreSQL).
• Conveniently take over the product development life cycle, from solution development to application operation in production.
• Enjoyment of technical and personnel management.
