Technical Business Analyst

Man Group is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business users and software development teams, with a focus on IBM OpenPages and related governance, risk, and compliance platforms. The successful candidate will gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and support the ongoing management and enhancement of risk management tools.

Job description

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business users and software development teams, with a primary focus on IBM OpenPages and related governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms. GRC platforms are used to manage regulatory requirements, mitigate operational risk, and structure internal policies, processes, and controls. You will gather and understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and support the ongoing management and improvement of our risk management tools. The role will primarily support our operational and third-party risk management functions by working on tools that facilitate risk identification, assessment, control testing, incident management, and regulatory reporting.

Tasks

- Perform administrative tasks on GRC platforms (primarily IBM OpenPages), including:
  • Workflow and data provision
  • Configuration of workflows and business rules
  • Management of report and document requests
- Collaborate with business teams to define technical specifications - Capture business requirements and translate them into system design - Create and document process flows to support platform configuration and change management - Collaborate with software developers on solution design and feasibility - Coordinate with business stakeholders to implement technical solutions and system design - Support testing and validation of platform changes - Support AI initiatives, including integration with AI platforms and design of AI-first workflows to improve GRC processes

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience as a technical business analyst or systems analyst - Good understanding of software development principles and APIs - Ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders - EDI knowledge and familiarity with system integration - Experience in creating and documenting process flows - Good understanding of GRC from a business and technical perspective - Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles

Nice to have

- Experience with IBM OpenPages or similar GRC platforms - Power BI - Knowledge of Power Automate or similar workflow automation tools - Familiarity with operational risk management concepts and frameworks
