Technical Business Analyst

Job description

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business users and software development teams, with a primary focus on IBM OpenPages and related governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms. GRC platforms enable organizations to manage regulatory requirements, mitigate business risks, and formalize them through integrated workflows and reporting. You will gather and understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and support the ongoing management and improvement of our risk management tools.

Tasks

The role primarily involves supporting our operational and third-party risk management functions by working on tools that enable non-financial security, control testing, incident management, and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities include:

• Perform administrative tasks on GRC platforms (primarily IBM OpenPages), including:
• Fill in user accounts and roles
• Configure workflows and business rules
• Collaboration on platform configuration and change management
• Capture business requirements and convert them into technical specifications
• Establish and document process flows to support platform configuration and change management
• Complete documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and system design
• Collaboration with software developers on solution design and feasibility testing
• Effective communication between business users and development teams
• Support with testing and validation of platform changes
• Support for AI initiatives, including integration with AI platforms and design of AI workflows to improve GRC processes

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a technical business analyst or systems analyst
• Strong understanding of software development principles and APIs
• Ability to work closely with stakeholders to translate technical solutions
• E2S, knowledge and familiarity with system integration
• Experience in creating and documenting process flows
• Trusted advisor for senior business and IT audiences
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles

Nice to have

• Experience with IBM OpenPages or similar GRC platforms
• Working knowledge of Power Automate or similar workflow automation tools
• Familiarity with operational risk management concepts and frameworks
