Technical Business Analyst

Man Group is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business users and software development teams, with a focus on IBM OpenPages and related governance, risk, and compliance platforms. The successful candidate will gather business requirements, translate them into functional and non-functional specifications, and support the ongoing management and improvement of risk management tools.

Job description

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business users and software development teams, with a primary focus on IBM OpenPages and related governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms. GRC platforms are used across Man Group to manage regulatory requirements, mitigate business risk, and inform corporate policy through integrated workflows and reporting. You will gather and understand business requirements, translate them into functional and non-functional specifications, and support the ongoing management and improvement of our risk management tools. The role will primarily support our operational and third-party risk management functions by working on tools that facilitate risk identification, assessment, control testing, incident management, and regulatory reporting.

Tasks

- Perform administrative tasks on GRC platforms (primarily IBM OpenPages), including:
  • Configuration of workflows and business rules
  • Management of report and document requests
  • Configuration of workflows and business rules according to third-party technical specifications
- Collaborate with business teams to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and manage change management activities, including data, system configurations, and system design - Roll out and document process flows to support platform configuration and change management - Collaborate with software developers on solution design and feasibility testing - Collaborate with business stakeholders between technical stakeholders and development teams - Support testing and validation of platform changes - Support AI initiatives, including integration with AI platforms and designing AI-first workflows to improve GRC processes

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience as a technical business analyst or systems analyst - Good understanding of software development principles and APIs - Ability to collaborate with various technical and business stakeholders - Experience with system integration - Experience creating and documenting process flows - Excellent communication skills with technical and business audiences - Structured collection of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles - Understanding of SDLC principles

Nice to have

- Experience with IBM OpenPages or similar GRC platforms - Power BI - Experience with Power Automate or similar workflow automation tools - Familiarity with operational risk management concepts and frameworks
