Technology & Cyber Information Security Risk Analyst (Temporary)

EFG International is seeking a Technology & Cyber Information Security Risk Analyst (Temporary) for its offices in Switzerland (Zurich, Geneva, Lugano) to oversee the implementation and maintenance of risk and control management for IT security and cyber risks. The ideal candidate has at least 3–5 years of experience in IT security and excellent communication skills in English.

Job Description

The position of Technology & Cyber Information Security Risk Analyst is part of the Operational Risk team. We are looking for a dedicated IT risk, cyber, and information security expert to fill a global role based in Switzerland.

Main tasks

- Oversees the effective and consistent implementation and maintenance of the risk and control management framework worldwide. - Contributes to thematic risk and control assessments on IT security issues, cyber risks, and threat analyses by collaborating with other internal stakeholders. - Conducts process reviews and control tests to facilitate the identification and assessment of risks and controls. - Provides expert knowledge, makes recommendations for improvements to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, and monitors their implementation. - Manages relationships with key stakeholders in the first line of defense. - Stays current and advises the bank on innovative business and technology trends in risks and controls.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or an equivalent field.
  • Professional certification, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or equivalent.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in banking IT platforms, operational processes, and IT controls, or in consulting/auditing at a leading professional services firm; a combination of both is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German, French, or Italian is a plus.
  • A deep understanding of key technology and information security concepts relevant to the banking sector. In particular, strong knowledge of IT organization, business processes, and systems (e.g., IT security, data management, architecture and planning, lifecycle management, and regulatory matters).
  • Proven ability to write reports and communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Self-motivated, conscientious, highly organized, able to set priorities and handle multiple tasks at once, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
