Technology Risk Control Manager
The Technology Risk Control Manager is responsible for managing IT and security risks at Julius Baer and driving the implementation of the risk governance framework. The position is part of the Risk Management function and requires close collaboration with IT and other relevant functions.
Job description
Tasks
- Support and drive the definition, implementation, and maintenance of the IT and security risk management framework
- Ensuring oversight of the technology control framework and providing challenges for the first line of defense in the design and operational effectiveness of technology-related controls
- Reviewing the risk assessments and risk evaluations of the first line of defense and ensuring that risk assessments are conducted consistently and in accordance with the bank's risk management framework, with a particular focus on technology-related risks that primarily arise within the organization
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for risk and drive to build up the newly established function and make it successful
- An action-oriented person who can work independently to drive initiatives and tasks forward
- Degree in information security, risk management, or information technology, or equivalent qualification or experience, and additional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in information security and risk management, preferably in the financial sector
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and landscape
- Knowledge of technologies and emerging risks such as cloud, AI, robotics, etc.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and JIRA
- Experience with analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus
