The position of Trading & Portfolio Management Associate at NatWest Markets in London offers the opportunity to develop and manage complex trading solutions for institutional clients. The incumbent will be responsible for the pricing and risk management of complex trades and will work closely with clients and other departments.

Tasks

As a Trading & Portfolio Management Associate, you will:
  • Create, structure, and execute bespoke trading solutions for corporate clients, interest rates, and financing products
  • Collaborate with sales, structuring, and credit to identify trading opportunities, including yield enhancement, risk reduction, treasury products, and optimal execution.
  • Manage pricing and risk for complex transactions, including total return swaps, credit and interest rate structured notes, and synthetic financing structures
  • talk to British and international institutional clients to understand their needs and suggest innovative solutions
  • Ensure that all transactions comply with UK regulatory requirements, such as PRA, FCA, and EMIR, as well as internal risk controls.

Requirements

To have an impact on our work, you need an experienced understanding of trading and risk management. You also need:
  • a deep understanding of interest rate markets
  • Knowledge of credit analysis and credit approval processes, bond liquidity and capital metrics, asset and liability management, bond and credit risk, and RFR
  • Experience in managing market and credit risks and a willingness to develop your skills and knowledge to cover the entire life cycle of financial products
  • strong stakeholder management skills
