Trade Operations Analyst

Purpose of the role

The Investment Operations department provides operational services to AHL, GLG, and Numeric fund managers by delivering solutions across various asset classes. As a Trade Operations Analyst, your primary focus will be to ensure that all trades booked by these fund managers are fair and accurate, while maintaining strong risk management standards.

Relevant tasks

- Confirming and reconciling all trades in a timely manner - Monitoring trade confirmations and resolving settlement issues - Resolving trade breaks and failed trades - Monitoring unconfirmed and failed trades - Investigating and resolving breaks in securities transactions - Improving STP rates with custodians and prime brokers - Performing daily GISD reconciliations and remediations as necessary

Trade lifecycle and data management

- Trade changes, event processing, and reference data maintenance to ensure accurate representation of positions, profit and loss, and exposures in risk management systems - Performing daily and monthly reconciliations to ensure that profits and losses and exposures are accurately modeled by trading teams - Continuously improving data quality and consistency - Ensuring the integrity of security data across multiple internal systems - Maintaining the integrity of all system and confidential data

Stakeholder management

- Act as the central point of contact for all broker inquiries - Serve as a subject matter expert for equity, bond, and OTC products within Man Group - Manage external relationships with prime brokers, custodians, and counterparties - Build and maintain relationships with third-party providers such as prime brokers, custodians, and counterparties

Process improvement and governance

- Continuously review and improve work practices/processes; automate end-to-end processes where possible - Collaborate with Global Tech & Ops colleagues on strategic initiatives; provide expertise on processes and systems, assist in testing technology solutions and their enhancements - Support and challenge processes within control and support functions; Conducting operational risk assessments and scenario analyses - Collaborating and presenting key governance metrics for the business on a regular basis - Ensuring that controls and operational performance are aligned with Man Group's growth strategy

Compliance and risk

- Ensuring that all processes meet the minimum requirements of the audit and internal control framework - Maintaining awareness of compliance and regulatory requirements; managing impacts appropriately - Assisting with periodic compliance and regulatory projects - Assessing the quality or effectiveness of non-compliance with regulations - Identifying complex events and communicating with team members

- Work closely with other Ops teams to provide coverage and enhance product knowledge - Leverage the expertise of CTE/Champions/Confederations/Steering teams within Man Group
