Trade Operations Analyst

Purpose of the role

The Investment Operations department provides operational services to AHL, GLG, and Numeric fund managers. As a Trade Operations Analyst, you will ensure that all trades booked by these fund managers are fair and accurate, while maintaining strong risk management standards.

Relevant tasks

The tasks include:

• Trade Confirmation & Settlement: Confirmation and reconciliation of all trades in close proximity, monitoring of trade breaks to minimize potential settlement issues, resolution of trade settlement issues, reconciliation and investigation of large trades
• Trade Lifecycle & Data Management: Trade changes, event processing, and reference data maintenance to ensure accurate representation of positions, P&L, and associated investment management processes
• Stakeholder management: Central point of contact for upstream and downstream inquiries, trusted source of expertise for the business within Man Group
• Process improvement & governance: Continuous review and improvement of work practices/processes, automation of end-to-end processes where possible
• Compliance & Risk: Ensuring that all processes meet minimum requirements for audit and internal control frameworks, implementing and maintaining compliance and regulatory requirements

Requirements

The requirements include:

• Product knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of financial instruments, particularly stocks, bonds, and OTC (swaps)
• Technical skills: Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, broad application skills across multiple platforms
• Core competencies: Strong analytical skills to understand a comprehensive set of products and complex end-to-end workflows, detail-oriented with a keen sense of control

We offer
