About the role
As a Trade Operations Specialist, you are an important part of Sygnum's trading team – you ensure that liquidity, collateral, and exposure are seamlessly managed across crypto spot, crypto derivatives, FX, and traditional assets.
Tasks
- Take control of the post-trade lifecycle across trading products and counterparties.
- Manage settlements, reconciliations, and collateral flows to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of all post-trade processes.
- Monitor and control exposure limits across counterparties and products to ensure sufficient trading capacity at all times.
- Coordinate liquidity with trading counterparties in close cooperation with Treasury.
- Act as the central point of contact for Ops, Risk, Finance, Trading, clients, and liquidity providers on settlement and exposure issues.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to strengthen post-trade architecture and ensure that systems, controls, and processes scale effectively with trading and product growth.
- Identify automation and tooling improvements to further optimize post-trade flows.
- Design and implement scalable operating models for liquidity management.
- Support new product launches by designing suitable post-trade processes.
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of experience in banking or trading operations, ideally in mid-office or post-trade roles.
- You have a degree in business administration, banking, finance, or a related field.
- They bring deep expertise in settlement, reconciliation, and exposure management across multiple asset classes.
- You have a proven track record in improving and automating post-trade processes.
- You communicate clearly and concisely, even under pressure, and build trust across teams.
- They deliver with precision and professionalism to ensure that stakeholders feel well supported.
- You are confident in interacting directly with trading counterparties, customers, and other internal stakeholders.
- They think ahead, anticipate needs, and take responsibility for practical solutions.
- They maintain the highest standards of accuracy, responsiveness, and stakeholder service in all post-trade activities.
