Trade Support Analyst

The Trade Support Analyst in Hull assists the trading team with the confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation of FX, commodity, interest rate, and equity positions. The role requires 1–3 years of experience in the financial services sector, as well as in-depth knowledge of documenting ISDA, CSA, and GMRA contracts.

Tasks

  • End of Day:
    • Reconciliation of accounts for foreign exchange, commodities, interest rates, and stocks.
    • Confirmation, Cancellation, and Reconciliation of Trades.
    • Creation of clearing files.
    • Generating settlement files and posting cash to trades.
    • End-of-Day Report on Trades and Exceptional Trades.
    • Additional end-of-day reports as requested by supervisors or the front office.
    • Documentation, tracking, and reporting on trade exceptions as needed.
    • Ad hoc requests from supervisors or the front office.
  • During the day:
    • Receipt, confirmation, modification, cancellation, and/or termination of trades upon request.
    • Assistance with entering and removing new reference data on the new platform and/or existing platforms.
    • Entry of new reference data (ISDA, CSA, FMA, etc.).
    • Implement additional requirements for trade entry, posting, and verification, or other new trade-related requirements as needed.
    • File/update paper documentation as needed.
    • Supporting trading desk staff with basic trade lifecycle activities, including but not limited to:
      • Confirmation and Processing of Trade Discrepancies.
      • Confirmation of discrepancies and mediation between Operations and the Trading Desk.
      • Reporting trade exceptions to the Senior Desk.
      • Additional ad hoc inquiries regarding trade booking or processing.
    • Assisting other internal departments with trade inquiries or requests.
    • Performing other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Background in financial services or business.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
  • A high degree of care.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in ISDA, CSA, FMA, and GMRA documentation.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • A self-starter who is enthusiastic about learning about new products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH).
