Job description

Your new job offers you an exciting and varied environment right on the trading floor. As part of the Quantitative Analysis team, you will work on conceptual and technical issues relating to trading and take on responsibility for the further development of the trading business with a great deal of creative freedom. You will work closely with the trading department, contribute your own suggestions, and take responsibility for the successful implementation of solutions, from the initial idea to the final implementation.

Tasks

As part of the Quantitative Analysis team, you will support the trading desks in the continuous optimization and simplification of their processes and provide them with expert assistance in analytical matters. Your tasks will include:

• Development and implementation of new products, instruments, and processes in the trading environment
• Management and technical control of analysis and implementation projects
• Development of Python-based tools for data analysis, process automation, and derivation of quantitative trading recommendations
• Analysis of new (especially regulatory) requirements, assessment of their impact, and development of trading recommendations
• Interface function between sales and IT - Transferring technical requirements to technical solutions
• Management of cooperation with internal departments as well as external service providers and suppliers

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

• University degree (economics, business mathematics, finance, or similar) with a quantitative focus
• Ability to analyze complex issues in a structured manner and translate them into actionable solutions
• Strong interest in financial markets, their products, and the trading environment
• Excellent programming skills in Python and experience in setting up and developing data-based solutions, high level of IT affinity
• Enjoyment of responsible tasks, belief in complex systems and interrelationships
• Confident manner when dealing with sales, IT, and external partners
• Initiative, sense of responsibility, and enjoyment of a dynamic environment
• Relevant professional experience in a comparable role in the commercial or financial sector
