Trading and Operations Analyst

The Trading and Operations Analyst supports the U.S. Growth Equities team with portfolio management, trade execution, and business development. The role involves executing trades, managing trading platforms, and supporting portfolio managers, sales, and other stakeholders.

Job Description

The Trading & Operations Analyst role plays a critical part in portfolio management, trade execution, and business development for EFGIAM’s U.S. Growth Equities team. Responsibilities include: - Executing trades across multiple platforms using the order management system (OMS) – Charles River – and ensuring best execution. - Assisting with the onboarding and maintenance of Separately Managed Accounts and platform relationships (e.g., Everest and Pershing). - Serving as a key operational partner to portfolio managers, sales, risk, compliance, and other stakeholders. - Driving process improvements and automation initiatives to support the scalable growth of the US Growth Equities platform.

Tasks and responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities include:
  • Trading and Portfolio Management:
    • Managing trade execution across multiple products and platforms to ensure the accurate and timely implementation of portfolio decisions.
    • Management of trade tickets, including trade capture and post-trade monitoring.
    • Monitoring of post-trade lifecycle functions (trade capture, including separately managed accounts and platform relationships, such as Everest and Pershing).
    • Conducting daily cash management and maintaining portfolios within target ranges and investment guidelines.
    • Lead or assist with quarterly best execution reviews to ensure strict compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Conducting statistical analyses and preparing ad hoc reports to support the portfolio management team.
  • Platform Operations and Administration:
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of new trading platforms in close coordination with internal stakeholders.
    • Maintenance of existing platforms through regular certifications, AUM reporting, and marketing updates/distribution.
    • Manage the entire onboarding process to set up new accounts, serving as the primary point of contact between operations, portfolio management, and investment teams.
    • Maintain and update the Master Operations Manual to document procedures and controls as the team and platform grow.
    • Supporting compliance and risk management activities, including preparing materials and control tests for the Investment Compliance and Risk Committee (IRC), participating in quarterly risk taxonomy reviews, and the annual compliance review.
  • Sales Support and Marketing:
    • Providing high-quality support to sales and marketing teams by:
      • Implementation of customer performance metrics and analyses.
      • Preparation of project-specific presentations and materials.
      • Coordinating and managing responses to RFPs and individual customer inquiries.
    • Ownership or support of the production cycle for non-discretionary/brokerage fact sheets, commentary, and standard and ad hoc decks for growth equity strategies, to ensure that all related systems are maintained.
