The Trading and Operations Analyst supports the portfolio management team in executing trades, managing accounts, and developing business processes. The role requires a high degree of attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work with data and improve processes.
Job Description
The Trading & Operations Analyst will play a critical role in portfolio management, trade execution, and business development for EPFGAM’s U.S. Growth Equities team. - Execute trades across multiple platforms using the Order Management System (OMS—Charles River) and ensure best execution. - Assisting with the onboarding and maintenance of Separately Managed Accounts and platform relationships (e.g., Emerging and Pershing). - Serving as a key operational partner for portfolio managers, sales, distributors, risk, compliance, and other stakeholders. - Driving process improvements and automation initiatives to support the scalable growth of the US Growth Equities platform.Tasks and responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities include:- Trading and Portfolio Management:
- Managing trade execution across multiple products and platforms to ensure the accurate and timely implementation of portfolio decisions.
- Handling of complete trade tickets, including trade tickets and post-trade reporting.
- Monitoring the trade confirmation and settlement process across platforms, including separately managed accounts and platform relationships, such as Emerging and Pershing.
- Platform Onboarding and Operations:
- Manage the onboarding process for new trading platforms in close coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Maintenance of existing platforms through regular certifications, AUM reporting, and marketing updates and communications.
- Manage the entire onboarding process for new accounts following approval, serving as the primary point of contact between Operations, Portfolio Management, and/or Trading.
- Sales Support and Marketing:
- Providing high-quality support to portfolio managers by:
- Performing customer performance attribute analysis.
- Preparation of project-specific presentations and materials.
- Coordinating and managing responses to RFPs and individual customer inquiries.
- Providing high-quality support to portfolio managers by:
- Automation, innovation, and process improvement:
- Data quality review and monitoring of planned tasks and workflows, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of automation initiatives to transition from manual reporting to scalable, streamed processes.
Requirements and qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, finance, engineering, statistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a quantitative, trading, or investment operations role closely related to asset management or a similar environment.
- Technical and product knowledge:
- Direct experience with OMS/EMS (Charles River) or a similar order management system is preferred.
