Treasury Operations Specialist
Bank J. Safra Sarasin is seeking a Treasury Operations Specialist to lead its dynamic treasury operations as part of a small, agile team and ensure cash balance through precise monitoring and reconciliation of positions in international markets. The ideal candidate will have at least 3–5 years of experience in treasury operations and strong communication skills.
Your role
As a Treasury Operations Specialist at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will be part of a unique group environment where national and international, cross-company collaboration has a global impact. As a key member of a small, agile team, you will drive dynamic treasury operations ranging from cash management, FX, money markets, repos, and securities lending and borrowing (SLB) to collateral management. In addition, you will play a key role in safeguarding our cash holdings through the precise monitoring and reconciliation of active positions in international markets.Your tasks
- Supporting our primary trading venue with all treasury-related tasks
- Execution and management of end-to-end collateral operations, including accounting entries, payments, and reporting
- Management of the entire lifecycle of interest rate swaps (IRS), currency swaps (CCS), and credit default swaps (CDS)
- Monitoring of OTC derivatives risk reconciliation processes and providing timely reports on regulatory controls and key business indicators to internal stakeholders
- Analysis and resolution of outstanding reconciliation discrepancies until they are fully resolved
- Promoting cooperative, goal-oriented collaboration with internal operations teams and business units in Switzerland and in international markets
- Assist the department head in managing key projects and urgent ad hoc tasks
Your profile
- Vocational training in business administration or economics, or a completed apprenticeship at a financial services company
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in treasury operations
- Strong interpersonal skills, combined with a high level of motivation and flexibility, to work in an exciting, challenging, and dynamic environment and contribute to the team culture
- Ability to organize and prioritize one's own work
- Occasional shifts on Swiss bank holidays, alternating with teammates
- Experience with Trioptima, Markitwire, and Avaloq is a plus, but not required
- Fluency in English and German is required
