Triple/A Plus Senior Software Engineer

Tasks

• Design, development and testing of software modules to ensure optimal functionality and integration within complex systems
• Investigating and solving production problems to maintain a stable production environment
• Balance between functional and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, etc.)

Client/stakeholder management (internal & external)

• Stakeholder management - working closely with ITSC, Business Engineers, Production Support teams and Project Managers to drive and manage IT delivery
• Analysis of requirements, estimation of effort, planning of time periods, management of progress
• Ensuring awareness, involvement, empowerment and support of key stakeholders and participants by building strong project teams and maintaining robust communication on project status throughout the lifecycle
• Managing and reviewing technical and architectural designs, enforcing architectural guidelines and challenging the status quo

Regulatory responsibilities and/or risk management

• Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors (including, but not limited to, standards of integrity and probity, care and diligence, fair treatment of clients, management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk compliance with applicable laws and regulations)
• Take responsibility for ensuring that risks and issues are identified and closely managed and manage all risk strategies to deliver on time and to the required quality standards

• Collaboration in a cross-functional team using agile methods as part of a DevOps-centric model
• Experience in working with and influencing stakeholders from different departments

Technical

Architectural vision

• Delivery of high quality code that complies with Julius Baer guidelines and standards

Must have:

• 10 years of experience with Triple A plus technologies and platforms
• Domain knowledge in wealth management products and offerings
• In-depth understanding of areas such as order management, items and service calculations
• Good fundamental understanding of the business data flow between TAP and T24
• Strong hands-on experience with shell scripting, PL/SQL and TIBCO/TIBCO JTX
• Strong understanding and experience with agile development and DevOps
• At least 5 years of experience in leading and managing a team of at least 3-5 developers
