UBS Card Center - Senior Mainframe COBOL Developer, Full-Time (f/m/d)
As a Senior Mainframe COBOL Developer at UBS Card Center AG in Zurich, you will be responsible for the technical analysis, implementation, and further development of the card infrastructure, as well as for 2nd- and 3rd-level support. The position requires in-depth knowledge of Java, Python, JCL, and z/OS, as well as experience in agile environments and the financial sector.
Tasks
- Technical analysis of business requirements from various stakeholders and implementation of those requirements in a comprehensive and modern IT environment
- Preparation of impact analyses and estimates for various projects
- Work as a subject matter expert in the area of Core CA Management for internal and cross-application projects
- Building knowledge about the existing application landscape and using that knowledge to enhance the applications for map processing
- Provision of second- and third-level support for Core CA Management, as well as additional support tasks related to changes based on new business requirements, including on-call duty
- Developing and improving our robust and scalable components for card processing
- Responsibility for the further development and improvement of processes in card processing
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Python
- Extensive experience with change management tools, such as DevOps pipelines
- Very good knowledge of JCL, Control-M, CICS, VSAM, and z/OS
- Very good working knowledge of Confluence and Jira
- Expertise in the Application of PCI DSS 4.0 Standards
- Excellent analytical skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to think in a structured and logical manner
- Proficiency in Java and APIs
- Strong analytical skills; you know how to tackle and solve problems
- Experience in an agile environment, for example as a ScrumMaster
- Enjoy working independently and proactively as part of an agile, motivated, and highly skilled team
- Experience in the financial sector, particularly in the card business, is a significant advantage
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (at least C1) and German (at least B1)
