Job description: UK Intermediary Sales Director
Tasks
- As a Director within our Intermediaries team, you will play a central role in continuing our growth with leading asset managers, funds-of-funds and family offices.
- Main tasks:
- Planning
- Definition of the business strategy (market segmentation, target customers, growth plan)
- Analysis of developments and trends in alternative investments in peer groups
- Prioritization of products for sales planning and contribution to product development
- Distribution
- Management of a structured sales process for generating customer leads, follow-up and conversion
- Systematic acquisition of customers and progression of customer takeover
- Vontobel positioning and investment views of the portfolio managers
- Ensuring a competitive and consistent positioning of Vontobel and our products
- Monitoring RFP and tender processes to ensure that customer requirements are optimally covered (in collaboration with dedicated support teams)
- Collaboration with the UK/Ireland sales team in London as well as the investment teams and the investment communications team in Zurich
- Marketing coordination
- Planning of regional roadshows, marketing campaigns and participation in investment conferences in line with the overall marketing plan
- Strengthening the Vontobel brand in the intermediaries market
- Optimization of all marketing materials (brochures, presentations, etc.)
Requirements
- Senior sales and relationship manager with at least 7 years' experience in asset management sales in the UK
- Strong sales skills with a proven track record of building long-term relationships and significant assets under management (AUM)
- Established network in the areas of family office, asset management and funds-of-funds
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and self-motivation, ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Customer-oriented mindset combined with a real passion for investment
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Highly integrative personality
