UK Intermediary Sales Director

The UK Intermediary Sales Director role at Vontobel in London involves leading a team in the distribution of asset management and investment products to family offices, wealth managers and funds-of-funds. Job description: UK Intermediary Sales Director

Tasks

  • Planning:
    • Definition of the business strategy (market segmentation, target customers, growth plan)
    • Analysis of developments and trends in alternative investments in peer groups
    • Prioritization of products for sales planning and input into product development
  • Sale:
    • Management of a structured sales process for lead generation, follow-up and conversion of customers
    • Systematic customer acquisition and progress in customer takeover
    • Vontobel's positioning and the investment views of the portfolio managers
    • Ensuring a competitive and consistent positioning of Vontobel and our products
    • Oversee RFP and tender processes to ensure customer requirements are optimally covered (in collaboration with dedicated support teams)
    • Collaboration with the UK/Ireland sales team in London as well as the investment teams and the investment communications team in Zurich
  • Marketing coordination:
    • Planning of regional roadshows, marketing campaigns and participation in investment conferences in line with the overall marketing plan
    • Strengthening the Vontobel brand in the intermediaries market
    • Optimization of all marketing materials (brochures, presentations, etc.)

Requirements

  • Senior sales and relationship manager with at least 7 years' experience in asset management sales in the UK
  • Strong sales skills with a proven track record of building long-term relationships and significant assets under management (AUM)
  • Established network in the areas of family office, asset management and funds of funds
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and self-motivation, ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Customer-oriented mindset combined with a real passion for investment
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • High level of personal integrity
