Julius Baer is seeking a university graduate for its Graduate Program in Luxembourg to serve as COO Business Manager, supporting the team in risk management, budget control, and strategic planning for the European hub. The position is open to Master’s degree graduates with fluency in French, English, and German, as well as some practical experience in banking.

University Graduate – COO Business Manager, Full-Time (f/m/d)
As part of the COO team, you will join the COO Business Management EuroHub, which plays a key role in managing the Bank Julius Baer’s Swiss European Hub (Luxembourg and its European branches). The team is responsible for a wide range of critical functions, including third-party risk management (TPRM), business continuity management (BCM), project portfolio controlling, IT planning, budget controls, and product transfer pricing. Through these activities, the team ensures robust governance, operational resilience, and compliance, and supports financial oversight across the entire hub.
Tasks
- Risk and Resilience – Supporting TPRM and BCM activities that safeguard the bank’s operational and strategic business continuity in accordance with regulatory expectations
- Business Unit Planning – Contribute to project portfolio management and IT planning to align budget controls and IT investments with the hub’s strategic priorities
- Financial Management – Participation in budget control and transfer pricing processes; development of comprehensive overviews of the hub’s financial situation
- Strategic Influence – Actively shaping the hub’s strategic priorities and planning processes by making a clear contribution to the development of financial metrics
- Stakeholder Management – Collaborating with various departments and stakeholders to support effective communication and ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment
Requirements
- Master's degree from a university or university of applied sciences with above-average grades
- Fluent in French and English (B2 level or higher) as well as German (C1 level); C1 level in Mandarin, Japanese, or Portuguese is a plus
- Initial practical experience in banking or in areas related to business management
