Your tasks

• Support the management of the Guernsey branch’s loan portfolio as part of a small, dedicated relationship management team in identifying and maintaining client-focused and risk-appropriate solutions in line with Julius Baer’s risk profile.
• Ongoing support for relationship managers in managing clients' credit risk (individuals and/or structured products).
• Ensuring that each customer is assigned a rating annually, monitoring the ratings, and triggering review events (e.g., significant business changes, a rating migration) for discussion by the Credit Committee.
• Assistance with the preparation and finalization of loan and collateral documents, as well as conducting analyses of collateral valuations and financial reports as needed.
• Familiarize employees with the bank's internal risk framework and external regulatory requirements.
• Assistance with the daily monitoring of credit positions, including the handling of excess positions and compliance with new position guidelines.
• Providing advice and guidance to relationship managers on credit-related inquiries and issues.
• Preparation of loan applications, including background checks on applicants and analysis of financial reports, among other aspects.
• Overseeing the preparation and finalization of loan and security documents.
• Support with periodic reports and ongoing project initiatives.

Your profile

• A bachelor's degree, preferably in related fields such as business and finance, accounting, economics, or law, etc. (degree earned within the last 3 years).
• An analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to communicate and present to people at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and pursue professional studies over time.
