University Graduate – Quantitative Analyst (Flex-Track) 100% (f/m/d)

The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Quantitative Analyst (Flex-Track) as part of its Graduate Program, which offers candidates the opportunity to start their career in the financial industry and specialize in the validation and certification of mathematical pricing models. The start date for this full-time position is October 1, 2026, in Zurich.

Tasks

As part of Model Validation & Trade Approval, you will be part of the Market & Treasury Risk team, which plays a key role in the New Product Approval (NPA) process for new trading products. In particular, Model Validation & Trade Approval is responsible for validating and certifying mathematical pricing models and provides trading approvals for various (customized) trading products. Your challenges will include:
  • Take responsibility for one or more regular team activities, such as validating pricing models, daily operations related to evaluating model performance, constraints, and sensitivity to parameters using quantitative techniques.
  • Develop and implement independent reference price models as part of the validation process, using quantitative libraries.
  • Work closely with front-office quants, trading teams, risk managers, and IT

Requirements

Your profile should meet the following requirements:
  • Master's degree from a university or university of applied sciences with above-average grades in STEM subjects, economics, or banking and finance (degree must have been obtained no more than 12 months ago)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and interest in quantitative models
  • Genuine interest in financial markets
  • Strong programming skills, preferably Python
  • A global mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong desire to learn
