Job description

Tasks

• Architecture design and implementation:
  • Design and implementation of scalable, robust and secure UNIX/Linux infrastructures
  • Development and maintenance of architecture roadmaps that are aligned with business objectives
  • Technical leadership and mentoring of the UNIX/Linux team
  • Ensuring consistency and standardization throughout the company's UNIX/Linux environment
  • Architecture of solutions for hybrid cloud environments
• Hybrid cloud strategy:
  • Lead the design and implementation of hybrid cloud solutions that integrate on-premises and cloud-based UNIX/Linux systems
  • Optimizing workload placement and resource utilization in hybrid environments
• Implementation and technical management:
  • Leading the implementation of new or existing UNIX/Linux infrastructure projects
  • Technical leadership and mentoring of the UNIX/Linux team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate UNIX/Linux systems with other platforms
• Security and compliance:
  • Architecture of solutions that meet the strict security standards and regulatory requirements of the financial sector
  • Implementation and maintenance of security best practices for UNIX/Linux systems
  • Work with security teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Design and implementation of secure access and authentication mechanisms
  • Carrying out regular safety assessments and implementing necessary improvements
• Performance and scalability:
  • Design of high-performance systems capable of handling enterprise-wide workloads
  • Implementation of monitoring and optimization strategies to ensure system reliability and performance

Requirements

• Qualifications in computer science, information technology or a related field
• Experience in UNIX/Linux system administration and architecture
• Extensive experience in a senior architect role within the financial services industry
• Strong practical experience with enterprise-wide UNIX/Linux systems (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, IBM AIX)
• Extensive knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures
