US Institutional Sales - Vice President/Director

The position of Vice President/Director of U.S. Institutional Sales at My Group involves overseeing the growth of product sales to institutional investors in the United States, as well as maintaining and developing client relationships. The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of experience, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of alternative asset classes such as private equity and structured products.

Tasks

  • Responsible for driving growth in product sales to institutional investors throughout the United States.
  • Jointly driving the growth of the product and service offerings across the company's entire portfolio of investment products and solutions.
  • Responsible for supporting existing customers and coordinating with the team to ensure customer success.
  • Understand and develop effective professional relationships with investors and funders to ensure the successful creation and management of a diversified portfolio, as well as build relationships with new prospects in the institutional investor sector (private equity, funds, or corporations).
  • Structuring of deal management (including private equity structures), portfolio management through to exit, as well as sales, deal pipeline management, effective deal sourcing capabilities (for identifying deals), and co-investments.
  • Ability to adopt an investment banking approach and provide investment financing through loans.
  • Establishing business relationships within the financial, international, and cooperation markets.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and explain how products and services can provide added value to potential clients and meet their specific needs (including, but not limited to, high-yield credit, leveraged finance, corporate bonds, preferred stock, other structured products, investment products, derivatives, venture capital, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills; strong negotiation and persuasion skills; ability to work well under pressure, handle time-sensitive tasks, and lead complex initiatives/projects.
  • Completion of a college program.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory matters and compliance.
  • Thorough familiarity with applicable regulations, industry standards, and other requirements; qualified candidates with 8–10 years of experience.
  • Excellent and consistent management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to integrate internal and external sales resources.
  • Proven leadership in problem-solving and a demonstrated ability to execute.
  • Professional and well-developed communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to make significant contributions and build partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to build an effective and dynamic network of relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
