Operational Excellence Manager
Banque Cantonale de Fribourg is seeking a Manager of Operational Excellence to design and continuously improve the bank’s processes in an efficient, consistent, and customer-focused manner. The role involves coordinating and further developing processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and digitalization, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Tasks
The Head of Operational Excellence ensures that FKB designs its processes to be efficient, consistent, and customer-focused, and continuously improves them. He or she defines the methodological framework for process design and management, ensures transparency across all processes, and identifies opportunities for optimization and digitalization. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and the targeted use of modern technologies, he or she makes a significant contribution to operational performance, risk reduction, and long-term strategic development. His or her responsibilities include, in particular:- Coordination and further development of the complete inventory and the process map of the bank’s core and support processes.
- Identification of efficiency losses, operational risks, redundancies, and opportunities for automation within processes (RPA / AI).
- Close collaboration with IT, data management, and subject matter experts to implement scalable and secure solutions.
- Implementation and monitoring of KPIs for operational performance: quality, productivity, deadlines, unit costs, operational inefficiencies, resilience, and corresponding dashboards.
- Definition of a common methodological framework that can be applied throughout the bank, such as Lean Management, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or PDCA.
- Establishment of an operational governance framework involving business units, IT, compliance, risk management, and cross-functional centers of expertise.
Requirements
Your profile:- A college degree in management, engineering, business, IT, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in process management, operational excellence, Lean/Six Sigma, or quality management (ideally in the Swiss banking sector or related industries).
- Understanding of technological efficiency measures (RPA, workflows, monitoring tools).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and synthesis skills.
- Strong persuasive skills and the ability to align diverse stakeholders toward common goals.
- Excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written.
