Regulatory Affairs Manager
Banque Cantonale de Fribourg is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to support the company in a constantly evolving regulatory environment and ensure that the bank anticipates and implements the resulting obligations. The position requires experience in the Swiss financial sector, excellent knowledge of the Swiss regulatory framework, and the ability to manage complex projects and interact with regulatory authorities and senior management.
About this position
In a constantly changing and increasingly demanding regulatory environment, the Head of Regulatory Affairs ensures that FKB anticipates, analyzes, and successfully implements the resulting obligations. He or she is capable of managing strategic regulatory challenges, coordinating cross-functional projects, and supporting the Executive Board in decision-making. As the central point of contact for all regulatory matters, he or she actively contributes to ensuring the compliance, robustness, and continuity of our business operations in a long-term and sustainable manner.Tasks
- Early identification of regulatory developments and assessment of their strategic, financial, and operational implications for the bank.
- Managing cross-functional projects related to regulatory processes and coordinating their implementation within the bank.
- Coordinating regulatory stress tests and ensuring their integration into the bank's risk management.
- Supporting and coordinating dialogue, as well as representing the bank in dealings with regulatory authorities, external consultants, and professional associations.
- Developing and updating internal policies, strategies, and regulatory processes in close collaboration with the Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management departments, as well as the Executive Board.
- Preparing analyses, reports, and recommendations on regulatory issues for the Directorate General and the Board of Directors.
Requirements
- A college degree (preferably in law and/or political science) or equivalent education.
- Excellent knowledge of the Swiss regulatory framework applicable to banks and its practical implementation.
- Proven experience in a similar position in the Swiss financial sector or in consulting is a plus.
- Experience in leading and managing complex, cross-functional projects.
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with government agencies, external partners, and executives.
- Excellent written and spoken French and German; knowledge of English is a plus.
