Vice President – Business Development, Asset Management (Capital Raising)

Alantara is seeking a Vice President of Business Development and Capital Raising in Madrid to implement the fundraising strategy for alternative investments and build relationships with international investors. The position requires extensive experience in institutional fundraising, excellent communication skills, and fluency in English.

Position Overview

  • Alantara Asset Management is seeking to hire a Vice President to join its Business Development & Capital Raising division at Alantara Asset Management in Madrid.
  • This professional will play a key role in implementing the firm's fundraising strategy, working closely with senior leadership and investment teams to strengthen existing investor relationships, seek new funding opportunities, and support the continued international expansion of the firm's successful investment financing.
  • The role requires a commercially driven professional with strong expertise in alternative investment fundraising strategies, institutional fundraising, and investor relationship management within the global and alternative investments sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and execute capital-raising initiatives across Alantara Asset Management's structures and products.
  • Contribute to the fundraising strategy for existing and new investment products.
  • Identify and develop relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and other relevant markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with family offices, private banks, pension funds, and other investors.
  • Coordinate investor follow-ups, meetings, and fundraising processes alongside senior members of the team.
  • Expand and consolidate Alantara's investor network internationally.
  • Monitor market trends, investor preferences, investment dynamics, and asset allocation developments across different products, markets, and regions.
  • Work closely with investment and product teams on the development of marketing materials, investor presentations, and fundraising documentation.
  • Collaborate with investment teams, Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Strategy teams across the organization.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work in an international and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • A master's degree and/or CFA certification would be considered a plus.
